Korean Ward Friends

Kim Nak June's Family: The father of this sweet little family was the first member of the Korean Ward that we met. Our first Sunday in Korea we only knew where the church building was but not what time the wards met, so we figured we should be there at 9am to be sure and not miss it. So we showed up about 8:50 and Kim Nak June was the only one in the building and he didn't speak any English. So he just showed us into a room to sit down and then the Elders showed up just a little bit later and filled us in on everything. Well when we stopped to say goodbye to this good family our last night in Korea Kim Nak June learned and memorized, "I wish you the best of luck with your life in America," to say to us. His wife and son speak English really well and they said that he had been practicing that all day. We will really miss this family and their great example.

Saying good bye to our last Elder in Korea; Elder Brassfield.
The Bishop's Wife and I. She could hardly speak any English but tried so hard to communicate with me none the less and help me feel comfortable and at home.
Here we are with Jason; one of Korean Ward's forever investigators.
